Course Eligibility:
To become a Class 4 and Class 7 tester you must already have:
Level 3 qualification recognised by DVSA – click here to view a list of DVSA approved qualifications.
If you do not have this qualification, we offer a Level 3 Light Vehicle Inspection Course.
A current & full UK driving license for the classes of vehicles you wish to test.
Be of Good Repute as determined by the DVSA.
A minimum of four years' experience working in a garage.
You cannot become a tester if you have any unspent criminal convictions for criminal offences (DVSA demo test is subject to a basic DBS check).

The course includes:
Safe working practices in a vehicle test centre.
Working relationships with colleagues and customers in a vehicle test centre.
How to manage and maintain professional development as an MOT tester.
How to perform pre-test checks for an MOT test.
How to carry out an MOT test.
Training will be completed at our purpose-built centre, fully equipped with the latest connected equipment.
Throughout the course, you will receive support from our experienced, qualified teachers.
After successful completion of the course, you will complete a DVSA demonstration test.
By this stage, you will be very familiar with the vehicle and equipment and of course, we will be there to support you.
