MOT Managers

The MOT Managers Course is the most transparent and informative course you will attend if you are opening an MOT station, taking over an existing site, or are looking for that next career step. This is also an ideal course for site managers and people responsible for garages on a day-to-day basis. It covers both theory and practical aspects and is available in a range of packages.

The complete package consists of 4-days of on-site training. For new managers, we recommend attending all 4-days, but depending on your requirements, it might be suitable for you to attend specific days.  The course is broken down by day below: 

Day 1:  How to setup an MOT centre.  This day is crucial for those who are planning on opening an MOT centre.  It includes all the DVSA regulations and all the documentation that is required.

Day 2-3: Standard Managers course.  Aimed at those who want to become MOT Managers.  You do not need experience in the MOT industry. 

Day 4: Staying Green!  The final day is recommended for all MOT Managers and focuses on keeping your MOT centre green.  It includes best practices, quality systems/audits and full support on specific areas of your business. 

During the MOT Managers course, you will cover the following:

• Managing the legislative and compliance requirements of a VTS
• Dealing with customer service problems and complaints
• Developing and supervising staff within a test centre
• Test centre quality systems and audits
